WARNING! This is an advanced operation intended for advanced users only! If you are uncomfortable with making changes to the Windows Registry you should NOT undertake this process. Karaokeware Inc. will NOT be responsible for any ill effects as a result of editing the WIndows Registry.
By default, Windows 8.0, 8.1 and 10 does NOT allow for Drag and Drop operations from the Windows File Explorer dialog into third party applications such as CompuHost. To activate this functionality you must make a change to the Windows Registry.
- Press the "Windows" + "R" keys to open the RUN dialog.
- Type "Regedit" into the "Open" field and click "Ok" . This will launch the Windows Registry Editor.
- Within the WIndows Registry Editor, navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Policies > System"
- Locate the key labeled "EnableLUA" and change its value from 1 to 0.
- Press OK, close the Registry Editor and restart the computer.
